Increasing the Love of Christ, S.N.

Christ is the One who loves me so much. Christ is the One who opened the way for me to attend the Full-time Training in Anaheim (FTTA). Christ is the One who sustains my life. Christ is the One who encourages and empowers me to live a Christian life, because His love is constraining me every day.

This Training helps me to see how much Jesus loves me. Through Paul's epistles I have seen the living of a “crazy lover” of Jesus. Once the apostle touched or saw His love for him, he became a different person.

In Galatians, Paul said: “I am crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but it is Christ who lives in me.” Inside of Paul another person lived who gave Himself up for Paul and even died for Paul on the cross. After Paul realized and saw this fact he became a crazy lover of Christ.

In another epistle, Paul said, “For to me, to live is Christ” (Philippians 1:21). Paul's life was one with Christ, and his living was Christ Himself (1 Corinthians 6:17). Through Paul's life, I saw Christ expressed. Paul loved the Lord and gave Him the preeminence. No one forced Paul to live such a life, but he had gained Christ to be one with Him. Paul knew Christ, and Christ knew Paul. I believe such a life is the genuine Christian life, a life of just loving the Lord. Such a love motivates me to live Christ as well.

My concept concerning the normal Christian life has changed. Formerly I thought that Christians should have a high standard of morality, or be very proper in every respect. That seemed so unapproachable and unattainable, without any motivation or love or enjoyment. But a normal genuine Christian life is to love the Lord so much, even to the extent that we forget everything except Christ.

In this Training I am learning to love Him and enjoy Him in my daily life so that my Christian life will become an expression of Christ through His love constraining me (2 Corinthians 5:14).
